A message from our Hillel Student Club President:

Elisheva Sprung

Hi Everyone! My name is Elisheva Sprung and I am the 2016-2017 Hillel student club president!

A little about myself: I was born and raised on Long Island and am currently a senior studying Mechanical Engineering. I am a peer mentor for the Women in Science and Engineering honors program, a Stony Brook ambassador, and vice president of Golden Key honors society. This past summer, I interned for JetBlue Airways! (Free flights, waddup.)

Hillel has been my second home since my very first day in Stony Brook. Welcomed with open arms, I knew that Hillel was the place for me to continue my Jewish involvement and expand my horizons. In my sophomore year, I became a Peer Network Engagement Intern. In this position, I met and connected over 45 previously uninvolved Jewish students. I got paid to make friends! The next year, I took a more active role in the club serving as Vice President. I engaged even more students and learned how to navigate an important leadership position.

As president, I am so excited to make this year one of our best. With the help of the amazing student board and Hillel staff, I know that the Hillel can grow and reach more students. We have a lots of innovative programs in store for this year and I hope you will take the time to explore what we have to offer. Come for a shabbat, high holiday service, pizza party. No matter what, we want to meet you.

Remember: Hillel is for YOU! If you have an idea for a program or event, DON'T BE SHY! Let us know and we will do everything in our power to make it happen. Hope to see you around!
