This semester we are offering numerous not for credit classes offered by two of our Rabbis.
Faculty Student Lunch and Learns:
The third Wednesday of every month at Campus Life Time (with some exceptions)
Hear three
perspectives on a Judaic text.
Each month a panel of faculty and students will interpret the same ancient text through the eyes of their professional discipline. Faculty and students will all have an opportunity to ask questions and make comments. Last month's topic, in honor Students are always free. Faculty and staff are asked to contribute $5 to offset our costs. Thank you April's speakers: Dr. Lawrence J. Epstein and Elana Glowatz, '10.

Rabbi Dave teaches an informal class every Saturday afternoon one hour before the third meal of Shabbat. Times change as Shabbat times change. For weekly information, please contact Rabbi Dave.
Lunch and Learn:
Thursdays at Noon
Grab your lunch in Delancey Street and look for Rabbi Dave in the back dining room. Listen as Rabbi Dave brings to life the words of the sages with deep insights, funny stories, and food for thought. The text we will be studying is "Pirkei Avos" (Ethics of the Fathers) which describes human relationships and how to better the world around us. Thursdays at 12:00.
Maimonodes:
Maimonodes 2 does not require applications or a year long comittment. Join as you'd like.
Both Maimondoes classes will meet at ROOTS.
What does Judaism mean to you? Did you have questions that Hebrew school just could'nt answer? Then the Maimonides program is for you. This inspirational program will give you not only the hows, but the why's to traditional Jewish practice. And If that were not enough, there is a 400 dollar stipend offered to participants who succesfully complete the program. Maimonides is well attended and spots are limited, so call Rabbi Dave at 631-632-6565 or email him.
Talumud
Rabbi Topek has taken over Rabbi Roffman's Talmud class on Tuesdays at 8:00 PM. It will now be held in the Snyder Hillel Center (Union 249) and is still focusing on the laws of Pesach. ALL WELCOME!
