Contemporary Halacha Chabura Series
Monday's | 12:30pm - 1:30pm | Melville Library N5560
Join our weekly Contemporary Halacha Chaburah. We will explore contemporary topics through the prism of Halacha in-depth. Each topic will take approximately a month to cover and we will be engaging in serious textual analysis and group study to get a grasp of the material informing a halachic perspective on the issue at hand.
Women in Judaism
Monday's | 12:45pm - 1:45pm | Melville Library N4042
Led by Dr. Peryl Agishtein, this hour is geared for our female identified students. Women's role in Judaism is significant yet not well known. All women are invited to join in a weekly conversation to study the role women play in our faith and current issues facing Jewish women. No prior knowledge or experience is required!
Tuesday's | 7:00pm - 8:00pm | Melville Library N5580
Join Stony Brook Hillel staff for a weekly series touching on all kinds of topics about Jewish life, Jewish practice, Jewish belief and how it all relates to YOU! Students from all backgrounds and level of knowledge are encouraged to attend! Topic suggestions are always welcome!
Sip, Shmuz, Seek
