The Hillel student club is a student organization recognized and funded by Stony Brook University's Undergraduate Student Government. All Stony Brook students are welcome and encouraged to attend Hillel Student Club programs. Any student who has filled out a Hillel registration card may welcome run for a position on the board. Elections are held during the final weeks of the spring semester and terms of office are completed at the end of the following academic year. All students are encouraged to attend twice monthly board meetings to provide input and share ideas.
Stony Brook Hillel is proud to have so many Israeli organizations represented on campus through a variety of internship programs. These students apply for their positions with the organizations, attend trainings and facilitate programs and conversations about Israel on campus.
Our Board of Directors is comprised of four equal stakeholder groups: alumni, faculty/staff, community members and students. The Board meets eleven times a year and serves as the primary body responsible for fiduciary, legal and governance issues. We thank all of our members for their dedicated service.
Stony Brook Hillel's staff is comprised of diverse, committed professionals. From Rabbis to Jewish communal leaders, the staff works to empower the Jewish students of Stony Brook University.
