Community Service Thrives at Stony Brook Hillel!

Stony Brook Hillel is proud to provide our students with many opportunities to make a difference in our local community and in neighborhoods across the globe.  For many young people, the intersection of social justice and Judaism is the most meaningful way they connect with their Jewish identity.  At Stony Brook Hillel, we recognize the impact that volunteerism has both on those served and those engaging in social service.

Our community service committee is part of the Hillel Student Club. Past events have included hospital visits, holiday parties for local veterans and pediatric patients, clothing and book drives and Hurricane Sandy cleanup trips. Students also addressed international concerns on their Alternative Spring Break Trip to Israel with The Jewish National Fund.

We encourage you attend Hillel Student Clubs next general body meeting or contact [email protected] to get involved and make a difference.
