All entries require an artist statement

Criteria for Submissions:

1.     Writing-- ALL ENTRIES MUST BE WRITTEN IN ENGLISH and/or HEBREW
Students may submit an essay, short story or poetry.   No other
languages will be accepted. Word count:  No more than 1000 words for
essay, 500 words for poems, and 3000 words for short story.

Format for Literature Entry Submissions (Poetry, Essay or Short Story)

All pages should be numbered in lower right corner.


2.     Film/Video entries should be no more than 5 minutes

Viewing area for optimal resolution of initial entry should not exceed
the screen size of a standard size computer monitor.  Original music
compositions and video productions are eligible.  

 3.     Performance pieces should be no more than 5 minutes

All performance piece entries must be submitted digitally.


4.     Photography submissions should not exceed 3 images, and should
not be larger than 11"x14”

All image files for the initial entry should be submitted only as .JPG
and be sized to fit on a 20 inch monitor screen.   For judging the
art, images need to fit on a monitor screen so judges can view it as a
whole.  Later, if the image(s) are selected for an award, then the
image(s) file should be submitted to the contest administrator at
higher resolution so the piece(s) can be printed in the size it was
created.  This will vary, but should be between 150 and 300 dpi and
generally be 1 MB or larger in size.


5.     Visual Arts submissions should not exceed 3 images and should
not be larger than 11"x14” (2D), or 3ft in height (3D)

All image files for the initial entry should be submitted only as .JPG
and be sized to fit on a 20 inch monitor screen.   For judging the
art, images need to fit on a monitor screen so judges can view it as a
whole.  Later, if the image(s) are selected for an award, then the
image(s) file should be submitted to the contest administrator at
higher resolution so the piece(s) can be printed in the size it was

generally be 1 MB or larger in size.

6.     Musical Compositions

Requires a high quality audio file

All works will be featured at the Third Annual Israel Love Fest
