Sarah Levovitz

Sarah Levovitz

President

Hi! I’m Sarah, and I’m excited to be this year’s Jewish Student Association president. I am currently a senior majoring in biomedical engineering with a minor in studio art, and I’m in the Women in Science and Engineering honor’s program. I got involved with Hillel as soon as I started school at Stony Brook because I knew that it was somewhere I would feel at home. I was JSA treasurer during both my sophomore and junior year, and I’m very excited to be moving on to the role of president. Hillel has provided me with the opportunity to make friends and explore my Jewish identity, and as president, I hope to encourage other students to take advantage of this opportunity. See you in the Hillel office!

Chair of Interfaith Programs

My name is Michael Rahbar, a senior linguistics major on a pre-law track, and I'm honored to be your Interfaith Chair for the 2019-2020 school year!

Hillel's great diversity means that everyone can feel at home by finding their niche in Jewish life on campus. My job is to organize events which promote literacy in different faiths, as well as dialogue across them. This is the work that expands the Hillel family and makes our campus community strong. I'd love to hear your thoughts about different faiths and life in general. Hope to meet you soon!
