Stony Brook University Hillel offers numerous opportunities for students wishing to observe or learn about all types of Judaism. We often partner with other organizations such as the Stony Brook University Hebrew Congregation and local synagogues to give students access to a wide variety of resources and opportunities.
The Stony Brook University Hebrew Congregation (SBHC)
SBHC is an Orthodox congregation that offers daily and Shabbat services throughout the semester.
For additional information about SBHC programming contact, Rabbi Joseph Topek.
There is an eruv that surrounds the entire Stony Brook campus and much of the surrounding community. Click here to see a map of the eruv. The eruv is checked each Thursday afternoon and information about its status can be obtained by contacting Rabbi Joseph Topek
B' Yachad provides egalitarian services on campus for Shabbat and holidays. They also sponsor an annual Shabbaton, featuring guest speakers and entertainment. If you are interested in being part of the B' Yachad leadership, contact Rabbi Joseph Topek.
