Welcome to Jewish University for a Day!

Sunday, April 7, 2024

Jewish University for A Day is an annual event at Stony Brook University on Long Island that brings together leading authors, academics, rabbis, public figures, journalists and others in a day-long series of mini-courses and presentations centered around Jewish themes. The event, sponsored by Stony Brook Hillel, is now entering its 13th year and has drawn in hundreds of attendees over the years.

This year’s presenters include Ambassador Dennis Ross on what's next for Israel and the Mideast, a special panel discussion on antisemitism led by Bard Center for the Study of Hate's Kenneth Stern, fun and exciting sessions on Jewish history (including right here on Long Island) and Jewish culture (the chocolate and Hip-Hop connections you never thought of), and much more. Proceeds from the event directly support Jewish life on campus.

We're excited to host this year's JU in the university's newly-refurbished Student Union which also serves as the new home of the campus Hillel, and which includes convenient free parking adjacent to the building and university security.

Many thanks to the 2024 Jewish University Planning Committee:
