Gloria and Mark Snyder Hillel Center

The Gloria and Mark Snyder Hillel Center serves as the home for Stony Brook Hillel and is located in the recently renovated Student Union. We officially opened our doors in fall 2000 thanks to the generosity of our donors Gloria ‘72 and Mark ‘69 Snyder. Our space is open to all students looking to learn and engage with Judaism and Israel. The Snyder Hillel Center is a vibrant space full of history, laughter, prayer and is truly the hub of Jewish life at Stony Brook.

Interfaith Center

The Interfaith Center reflects many of the diverse religious traditions on our campus. It is the representative organization for chaplains and campus ministry staff who are officially selected representatives of religious denominations and have a major concern for and a working relationship with the University. The Interfaith Center currently serves students of Jewish, Muslim, Catholic, and Protestant faiths and serves as a resource for the entire campus community. Programs such as Interfaith Thanksgiving and Festival of Lights are highlights of every academic year in partnership with university and student group partners.

Interfaith Chapel

Our Interfaith Chapel is the home for spirituality on campus. Various faith groups hold daily and weekly prayer services open to the entire student body. This multipurpose space is also perfect for movie or game nights, Shabbat dinner, student group meetings, and more! Our Orthodox Saturday morning prayer services are hosted in the Interfaith Chapel.
